It has been a week, hasn't it? A long one. An exhausting one. And honestly, we're pretty sure we've said that about almost every week for the past six years. At this point, we're starting to think maybe that's just how time works now. The world has been weird, the internet has been even weirder, and somehow there is always a new thing to be stressed about, a new thing happening online or in the world that we would rather just… not see.

And in the middle of all that, the things we actually want to see online — cute animals, silly stories, funny cat pictures — can feel a little harder to find. Instead, we're constantly being served clickbait, ragebait, bad news, and approximately one million reasons that make us want to get off the internet basically forever. No thanks. We are online here for cats and for the cats alone. Specifically, we're here for cats being adorable, ridiculous, and completely incapable of taking anything seriously. You know, just cats being cats.

That's why we've made it our mission here at ICHC to create a little corner of the internet where you can come whenever you need a break. Somewhere you don't have to doomscroll your way through endless nonsense just to find something that makes you smile.
